Ingrid Heim is a Philadelphia-based strategist and large-scale project manager, whose vision and leadership have been instrumental in the advancement of a wide variety of mission-driven organizations.
As an independent contractor and consulting partner, Ingrid has developed strategic plans and tactical executions for the communications and advancement teams of such notable institutions as Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Ronald McDonald House, and the Free Library of Philadelphia. She also has served as a strategic advisor to several for-profit organizations serving mission-based institutions, including e-City Interactive, Stamat’s Inc. and The Leapfrog Group.
Recently, Ingrid led the strategic planning processes to reconfigure the central communications team and develop a comprehensive outreach plan for Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, the leading seminary and professional leadership development center of Reform Judaism in North America, with campuses in New York, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, and Jerusalem.
Previously, Ingrid directed the strategic planning process for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s $1B comprehensive campaign, collaborating with hospital leadership to identify campaign funding priorities and goals and to draft a comprehensive fundraising plan. Also for Children’s Hospital, Ingrid managed all aspects of the $100M capital campaign for the hospital’s Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care including: strategic planning; brand, educational, and direct marketing communications; donor relations; volunteer engagement; and major gift solicitation with Hospital and Foundation officers.
Ingrid began her career at Temple University and, prior to launching her consulting business, served in several successive roles there, including Associate Vice President of Advancement Communications, overseeing the institution’s Marketing & Branding, Creative Services, Alumni & Development Communications, and Stewardship divisions.
As a freelance writer and project manager, Ingrid has produced advancement, admissions, and brand work for Moore College of Art & Design, The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers University, Neumann University, The Montgomery School, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and many other fine institutions.
Ingrid earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Temple University, summa cum laude, and Sommelier Certification from the National Wine School. She is a fierce champion of her hometown, Philadelphia, and the many game-changing organizations that make the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection their home.
